It is women, more than men, who are disproportionately more to the effects of climate change. This is not only because women perform up to 90 % of the agricultural work on farms, but also because of other they face: they often have less access to opportunities and decision-making power than men. This increases their vulnerability to climate change and them of their ability to manage its impacts. In Honduras, 2.2 million women live in rural areas.
